Jared Bennett, Executive Chef
Chef Bennett has been an integral member of the Metropole kitchen team since the restaurant’s opening in 2012, working formerly as chef de cuisine. Bennett’s culinary style is exemplified by straightforward preparations and responsibly sourced seasonal and local ingredients of the highest quality. His use of the restaurant’s custom-built hearth and open-flame cooking are at once classic and innovative, like Metropole itself.
A love of cooking as a young child translated into Bennett’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Hocking College, and later to tenures at several well-known Cincinnati-area restaurants, including Nectar, Daveed’s at 934 , Orchids at Palm Court and Metropole.
Bennett draws culinary inspiration from classic, historic American techniques, putting a modern spin on heirloom ingredients and preparations. His dedication to local, seasonal ingredients and hearth cooking has helped guide the menu at Metropole since day one.
